1. Purpose
This policy sets DocuRail commitments to prevent modern slavery and human trafficking in operations and supply chain. It aligns with the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and our duties as an ethical digital services provider.
2. Scope
- All employees, contractors, and third party suppliers working for or on behalf of DocuRail.
- All locations and jurisdictions where DocuRail operates.
3. Policy Statement
DocuRail has zero tolerance for modern slavery, human trafficking, forced labour, and child labour. We act with integrity in all dealings and work to ensure these abuses are not present in our supply chain.
4. Workforce Commitment
- All staff are engaged under fair contracts with clear terms and conditions.
- Wages meet or exceed the legal minimum in the country of work.
- Our South African team are paid above the UK minimum wage to support fair pay and improved living standards.
- No worker lodges deposits, surrenders identity documents, or works against their will.
5. Supply Chain
- Our supply chain focuses on digital and professional services.
- All suppliers and contractors must comply with modern slavery and human trafficking laws.
- Contracts include clauses that require legal and ethical labour practices.
6. Risk Assessment and Due Diligence
- We assess suppliers for modern slavery risk.
- Higher risk suppliers receive enhanced scrutiny.
- Employees and contractors are encouraged to raise concerns without fear of retaliation.
7. Training and Awareness
- All staff receive this policy during induction.
- Managers are trained to identify and address supply chain risks.
8. Reporting Concerns
- Report concerns immediately to the Managing Director.
- All reports are investigated promptly and confidentially.
9. Responsibilities
- The Managing Director is accountable for implementation.
- All employees and contractors must report suspected breaches.
10. Review
This policy is reviewed annually or sooner if legislation or company operations change.
